Public Demo v1.3 - Patch Notes


Hey Kobold Friends!
Todays Patch is pretty chunky! I always want to say THANK YOU for the amazing reception! Keep making noise about this project, it's going amazingly and you all being excited just makes it go even better!

With minimal further ado!

  • 3d Wall Items Added  - Big cool thing! All Torches and levers are now DooM-style 3d! 
  • Completely rebuilt Turn System for smoother combat on the back-end
  • Swapped Chain-Pull for Lever for better readability
  • Fixed Double Trapdoor Softlock
  • Fixed Item Swap Bug. No more Cheese Trenchcoats.
  • Fixed bug where Magic wouldn't count as a player turn
  • Fixed Right-Click menu vanishing off screen on the left
  • Significantly reduced status effects on enemies (sorry)
  • Made mimics rarer but harder (not sorry)
  • Tweaked enemy health/damage about ten times
  • Fixed a couple of Item Display bugs
  • Prevented edible enchantments on Trinkets to make them a bit more versatile
  • Capped Accuracy at 95%
  • DEFEND now HALVES INCOMING DAMAGE.
  • Some tweaking to Tutorial signs
  • New Trinkets!

As you can see there's a whole bunch of stuff in the works, but sadly there are a couple of elusive bugs!

KNOWN BUGS

  • You can (thankfully rarely) get stuck on the loading screen between levels. This is my job next week as I rewrite the entire SceneManagement system to try and find the issue. If you are affected by it, you should be able to hit the main menu at least. 
  • Items can (rarely) get stuck in treasure chests. No idea why, but I am constantly trying little tweaks in the playtest build and it seems to be solved.
